Transcend, which has long offered Mac owners the chance to upgrade their SSDs to higher-capacity ones, has announced a new range of drives that support PCIe Gen 3.0. These cards, which use the latest 3D NAND flash chips, offer read/write speeds of up to 950MB/s. The new JetDrive 820 drives are available in capacities of up to 960GB, and are compatible with a wide range of Macs … The drives come with a five-year warranty, and Seth reports that the older model he fitted to his MacBook Air back in 2014 is still going strong....

Update: 2 days before launch, Google has added 10 more titles to the Stadia launch lineup. Google has announced what games are officially going to be available for Stadia at launch. Google Stadia is a cloud-based gaming service that was announced back in March, 2019. The service will allow users to stream games to virtually any screen at up to 60 FPS and 4k resolution. Apple has released macOS Big Sur 11.2.2. to the public today with a fix for MacBook Pro and MacBook Air users. Apple says the update “prevents” certain models from “incurring damage” when they are connected to third-party USB-C hubs and docks. Apple explains that the update prevents 2019 or later MacBook Pro and 2020 or later MacBook Air models from suffering damage when used with “third-party, non-compliant powered USB-C” accessories....

The Bethesda, Maryland-based company is involved in aeronautics, military technology, mission systems, and space exploration. Lockheed Martin generated $65.4 billion in sales in 2020 and has approximately 114,000 employees worldwide. Lazarus is a state-sponsored hacking group with ties to North Korea. The prolific and sophisticated group is generally financially-motivated and is believed to be responsible for serious attacks in the past, beginning with the WannaCry ransomware outbreak, as well as the $80 million heist against Bangladeshi Bank, assaults against freight companies, and South Korean supply chains....
