[This article contains light SPOILERS for Logan] Since its inception and well through its continued installments, the X-Men franchise is long been criticized for the continuity between the films - or rather, the lack thereof. Whether that has resulted in characters appearing much earlier than possible in their soft reboot, or retconning deaths of characters without explanation, Fox has done whatever they felt needed for each individual movie, rather than worry about its implications on the larger universe....

Fox is certainly celebrating this week, as they follow up the massive success of last year’s Deadpool with another R-rated smash-hit superhero flick: Logan. The final outing for Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine hit theaters last week, and saw a phenomenal first weekend at the box office – it raked in $85.3 million in the first three days, breaking records for an R-rated March release. Logan has the fourth-highest opening weekend of the franchise (behind Deadpool, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and X-Men: The Last Stand)....

Netflix is looking to expand globally and one of its strategies includes testing out a new mobile only subscription that comes with a low price point of about $4/month. As spotted by TechCrunch, Netflix is targeting Asia for testing the waters with the new mobile plan. The first country to see the new low-cost Netflix plan is Malaysia with a monthly price of RM17 which converts to about $4. Users who choose this mobile only plan still get unlimited movies and TV shows but are just restricted to mobile-only viewing....

On a conference call Tuesday, co-founder and CEO Logan Green struck an optimistic note. “In the last week of January, we saw a pickup in ride share rides that we see as a positive signal,” he said. “The demand rebound is a matter of when, not if.” All told, Lyft’s non-GAAP adjusted net earnings per share came to 9 cents. Revenue in Q4 was $969.9 million, an increase of 70% year-over-year and an increase of 12% from Q3 2021....

So, the wait is over and the new MacBook Pro is official. I said yesterday that what we knew then didn’t seem quite enough to justify the ‘hello again’ hype, and I hoped there might be a ‘one more thing’ feature we hadn’t heard about. Alas, there wasn’t. Twentieth Century Fox has released a red band trailer for Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which features agent Eggsy (Taron Edgerton) dropping the F-bomb. Directed by Matthew Vaughn, The Golden Circle, of course, is the hotly anticipated sequel to the 2015 smash Kingsman: The Secret Service, based on Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons’ graphic novel series that kicked off in 2012. Fox released the film version of The Secret Service rated R, beginning the studio’s welcome trend for mature comic book movies that would continue with Deadpool in 2016 and Logan earlier this year....

After rolling out beta support to users last month, Apple Music for Android has today been updated with support for Android Auto. The update also brings lyric search, redesigned artist pages, and more. These features were all tested last month through the private Apple Music beta for Android. With Android Auto support, Apple Music users can now control audio playback through their car’s infotainment system, including changing tracks, navigating through playlists, and more....

In a new report by KGI’s Ming-Chi Kuo, the reliable Apple analyst claims that the iPhone will be seeing a major redesign in 2017, dropping the iconic aluminum casing for an all-glass enclosure with AMOLED screen. Morgan Stanley’s Katy Huberty is the latest analyst to weigh in on Apple’s 10th anniversary iPhone release(s).
