In January of 2010, Kodak sued Apple and RIM for infringing on their patent to preview photographs. The lawsuit is still going on, but today Wall Street Journal is reporting that Kodak is currently looking to sell 10% of their patent portfolio, which includes the patent Apple and RIM are bring sued for. The 1,100 patents include patents covering capturing, storing, organizing and sharing digital image. WSJ credits the sale to Kodak’s loss in profit over the last two quarters....

A leading technology analyst has estimated that Apple Watch sales in the first two weeks are likely to hit 3M, comprising 1.8M Sport models, 1.2M steel and 40,000 Editions – generating more than $2B revenue. Think Big Analytics principal Carl Howe also estimates that gross margins on the wearable are likely to exceed 60%, making the Apple Watch the company’s most profitable ever product. Howe readily admits that his analysis, like any other from outside the company, are “really just educated guesses,” but he’s a credible name and his reasoning makes sense … [The electronics] in the expensive models are the same ones used in the Sport models, and they just don’t cost that much....

Apple introduced the new monitor alongside the Thunderbolt 3-equipped MacBook Pros back in October. LG started shipping the high-resolution displays closer to the end of last year. After our original report highlighted the issues LG’s monitor experienced when used near Wi-Fi routers, LG confirmed that there were indeed problems caused by poor shielding that would be addressed with future versions.
