The most steady couple of the five remaining heading into the Love Is Blind finale is Kelly Chase and Kenny Barnes. They have experienced almost no setbacks, making them the most likely pair to wed in the final episode.
We saw almost nothing of Kelly and Kenny in the pods. They had a few conversations together, and then, all of a sudden, Kenny was walking into the pod with a suit and a ring. It was strange how small of an edit they received. The reason they weren’t shown as much is possibly because there hasn’t been much drama between the two since rendezvousing to Mexico and moving to Atlanta with the rest of the engaged couples. There has been little to suggest they won’t end up together. Even their families loved one another when they all had the chance to get together. And, it should be noted, no other pairs of families met before the wedding day, something that would seem like a common event but perhaps not with this accelerated timeline.
The only potential thing working against Kenny is Kelly’s lack of intimate feelings toward him. They are the only ones - we think - that have not yet had sex. It could be due to Kelly’s decision to take it slow, or it could possibly be that she’s not attracted enough to him. Kenny, on the other hand, is ready to get hot and heavy in the bedroom. To his credit, he has shown a willingness to wait.
This storyline has been a minor road bump in a season of potholes. Matt Barnett still has major concerns about Amber Pike’s financial struggles. Damian Powers and Giannina Gibelli have fought like cats and dogs. Lauren Speed isn’t sure she’s ready to say “I do” to Cameron Hamilton and Jessica Batten just doesn’t seem that into Mark Cuevas at all. Like, at all.
Meanwhile, Kelly and Kenny have made this process look all too easy. They have received the least amount of airtime because everything has worked out smoothly for them thus far. That being said, it’s one thing to enjoy each other’s company. It’s quite another entirely to pledge eternal love to someone else. Kelly and Kenny seem the most ready, but the time frame is too short for any of these contestants to really be ready to tie the knot. Is love blind? Kelly and Kenny seem like the best shot at this point to prove whether that can indeed be the case.
