It has been a terrible few months for the Chrisley Knows Best’s Chrisley family, especially for Todd Chrisley’s estranged daughter, Lindside Chrisley. She recently opened up about how the tax scandal and her father accusing her of multiple affairs has caused her to feel “completely wrecked.”
Last month, there was a 12-counts indictment issued against Todd and his wife, Julie - which includes charges of wire fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud, and conspiracy to defraud the United States. It was then revealed that Lindsie had gone to the police on June 16th to file a report that he father and her brother, Chase Chrisley, with claims that they purchased a sex tape of her and threatened to release it unless she lied for them. After accusing them of this, her father hit back with accusations that he tried to hide his estranged daughter’s many extramarital affairs to certain The Bachelorette alumni. Then he sister, Savannah Chrisley, said she would never forgive her sister, Lindsie, for the claims against their family.
These past few months have taken a huge legal and emotional toll on the family. This past week, Lindsie opened up on her Coffee and Convos podcast in which she co-hosts with Teen Mom 2 alum Kailyn Lowry, obtained by E! News, where she spoke about the cheating allegations and the effects it’s had on her and her marriage. She said, “What’s been done to me in the media and what has literally wrecked my life for the past two and a half weeks.” Lindsie explained that she had been estranged from her dad and stepmom long before the indictment this last month, she said, “To be perfectly honest, the years that were covered in the indictment, most of those years I was not in communication with my parents. So a lot of the years from like early on that they covered, I was in college so I wasn’t even like living at home.” She went on to explain even while she was away at college, she didn’t contact her parents. She said, “So I definitely like would’ve had no knowledge of anything.”
She talked about the fact that both Todd and Julie maintained their innocence and pleaded not guilty to the 12 charges against them, saying that the fact that they are under attack, that they have been putting a lot of blame on other people, “I just find it a little ironic that there is some blame game things going on and I just really had no involvement in that.” Lindsie explained that the fact that her dad accused her of multiple extramarital affairs, she said, that it was in poor taste and that since leaving Growing up Chrisley, she hasn’t “aired any dirty laundry.” However, Todd’s lawyers maintain that the sex-tape extortion claims are “completely false.”
Fans may never know the truth when it comes to who is right and who is lying. The blame game that the Chrisleys are playing with each other seems to be making the bigger problem - the years that they could face in federal prison if found guilty of the 12 charges against them - seem like it’s the least of their worries. The Chrisley Knows Best’s family drama will likely continue, but in the meantime - Lindsie is just focusing on mending her relationship with her husband and trying her best to move on.
