Today LG officially introduced the 2018 version of LG Q8. This device packs together mid-range specs. It will soon be available for sales in Korea. There is no info on its global unveiling. LG Q8 2018 looks like the possible successor to LG Q7, Q7 Plus, and A7 Alpha which entered the market a few months ago.

The LG Q8 2018 packs Snapdragon 450 with octa-core CPU at 1.8 GHz. It has a 4GB RAM and 64 GB of expandable internal storage. The storage can go up to 2 TB. Q8 boasts a 6.2-inch FullVision display with 2160 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and comes with a built-in stylus pen with the box. In the camera set-up, we get only 16 MP shooter at the rear end with an LED flash. Today, most of the mid-range devices come with dual rear cameras, while LG Q8 2018 is an exception to that. However, the front facing camera which is of 5 MP selfie camera comes with a 100 degree Super Wide Angle. This will enable to take selfie seamlessly when a lot of people are facing the lens.

LG Q8 2018 supports USB-C type, Bluetooth, and all the Wi-Fi 802.11 standards. Thankfully, the OEM keeps the 3.5m headphone jack intact.  It also equips DTS:X 3D Surround Sound and a Hi-Fi Quad DAC system. Q8 also has the IP68 rating and also complies with MIL-STD 810G.

The pricing is kind of outrageous if we consider the mid-range specs and the camera. The LG Q8 2018 costs KRW 539,000 which converts to almost $480. This handset is available in Aurora Black and Moroccan Blue.

Though the LG Q8 2018 is a promising device it may find it hard to stand in competition the other mid-range phones that are quite cheaper.
