Kylie Jenner is still seeing Drake, although it’s reportedly not serious. What has gotten serious is the online speculation about the couple, and how into each other these superstars truly are.
Jenner split from her boyfriend, rapper Travis Scott, back in October 2019. They were a couple for two years and have a daughter together. Their breakup was preceded by a Ross-and-Rachel-esque break that lasted for a few weeks until they decided to give it another go. But when the final end was officially announced, fans and entertainment news outlets quickly began to theorize who each of them would rebound with, and who would do so first. Enter: Drake. Keeping Up With the Kardashians viewers may recall Drake being a regular fixture in Jenner’s life from an early age. He figured prominently in the story line surrounding her Sweet 16 party. The Canadian rapper also has strong ties to Scott. The two of them collaborated several times and have a hit song called “Sicko Mode” together.
To date, Scott has yet to announce a new relationship or fling. Even though she’s been linked to Drake, Jenner apparently isn’t allowing herself to fall head over heels. “Kylie considers herself single,” said one source. “She has known Drake for a while. It mostly seems like they have chemistry, flirt and hang out. Nothing too complicated.”
Neither Jenner, 22, nor Drake, 33, is in any position to complicate their already busy lives. Drake is a father to his young son named Adonis. His parentage became a hot gossip item when rapper Pusha T put the Grammy-winner on blast for being a deadbeat dad. Drake has since claimed paternity, and is working toward an amicable co-parenting relationship with the child’s mother. Jenner’s brother-in-law Kanye West also has an ongoing feud with Drake, which could complicate matters. As for Jenner, she just sold the controlling interest in her company Kylie Cosmetics to makeup conglomerate Coty for $600 million. The deal will now make her an employee of the company she once owned outright, so there could be pressure there as well.
At age 22, Kylie should feel empowered to date whomever she pleases. After two serious back-to-back relationships with Tyga and Travis Scott, a low-key fling is probably refreshing. Kylie is young and wealthy and doesn’t have the pressure of dating to get a ring on her finger. She and Drake have maintained a friendship for many years, so there’s probably a nice level of comfort there. Also, Kylie is aware of Drake’s track record with Serena Williams, copious strippers, and his baby mama. He’s probably just a bit of fun and a warm body while she and Travis Scott figure out what they want from each other long term. In the event that Kylie and Drake do form a lasting relationship, they will surely be the super-couple of the century. However, fans of both stars know them well enough not to get their hopes up with this union.
