Kylie Jenner from Keeping Up with the Kardashians recently revealed her daughter Stormi’s Barbie-covered playroom. The decor not only revealed some interesting details about the toddler, but also displayed some of Jenner’s psychology now that she and Stormi’s father, Travis Scott, have split.
22-year-old Kylie, who found fame with her family’s reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, started dating 28-year-old rapper Travis Scott back in April 2017. Less than a year later, the two welcome their daughter, Stormi Webster. Back in February of this year, there were allegations that Travis had been cheating on Kylie. The couple tried to work through it, but ultimately they decided to take a break this last October. The pair split, but are trying their best to co-parent their 22-month-old daughter.
Jenner showed off the room November 25 on her Instagram story. The photos showcase pale pink wall paper with rainbow polka-dotted skateboard decks hanging overhead. There’s also a pink mini kitchen for little Stormi to practice her culinary arts. Stormi has a tepee with stars on it, and her name printed above the entrance, as well as stuffed animals in a nearby chair. Then, there’s the famous face that so many children just like Stormi have loved over the years: Barbie. Jenner’s 22-month-old daughter is apparently wild about the toy, given its presence in her room. There were several versions of the doll, including a brunette with purple highlights in her hair, as well as a blonde Barbie and what appears to be her little sister, Skipper. Fans might also notice a Barbie that bears a resemblance to Jenner, pushing a little doll that looks like Stormi around in a stroller. Jenner may have decorated Stormi’s playroom to be a “no boys allowed” fun zone, now that she and Travis Scott are no longer an item. “[He] feels that their relationship was too fast too soon,” a source told Us Weekly November 26. “He loves her, but he wanted to be able to live his life and travel and be with other people and not have to worry about always going back to his family.” While Scott reportedly has joint custody of his daughter, her playroom is pink and girly and the living embodiment of Barbie’s lifestyle.
Since Jenner is such a prolific young woman, it’s no surprise that she would want her daughter to have a toy that encompasses her personal brand. Barbie has been a role model to young women for decades. She’s fashionable and adventurous and well-rounded. It’s the bigger picture of what Barbie represents to little girls and boys that makes her presence in Stormi’s life really remarkable.
