Kim Kardashian West’s longtime BFF Jonathan Cheban revealed the cause of the only fight they had in 10 years. The Keeping Up with the Kardashian star explained the almost perfect friendship between him and Kim.
Cheban is a former publicist who ran in the same crowd as Kim back in 2009, and that’s when fans were introduced to the reality TV star as he’s been seen on Keeping Up with the Kardashians since the beginning. Kim’s partner in crime is now taking on Instagram food blogging and is known to his 3.4 million Instagram followers as a professional foodie - FoodGod - and he is legally changing his name for a complete brand overhaul. The reality TV star was a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother back in 2016 but is better known for his role in Keeping Up with the Kardashians and their spinoffs, such as Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons, Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, and Kourtney and Kim Take New York.
Jonathan told the Daily Mail that their only fight aired on an episode of Kourtney and Kim Take Miami back in 2013 - and it was caught on camera. The whole ordeal was about Kim attempting to fix a strained relationship between Jonathan and marketing executive Simon Huck. He admittedly believed that Kim sided with Simon, saying, “The only time we fought was on TV with my business partner.” Jonathan then explained, “That’s the only time I didn’t answer her calls, I was furious about it because I fought he was on his side. That’s the only time in 10 years, we literally don’t fight.” There have been smaller arguments filmed on previous episodes, but that was the one time he considered it an actual fight.
Jonathan went on to speak about the special relationship he has with the entire Keeping Up with the Kardashian family. He says, “Everyone is just really loyal. They always deliver, no one ever flakes, even at this stage [in their fame] everyone is on time.” The foodie then explained that in spite of their busy schedules, the fashion mogul is always there for him. “If Kim calls me, I pick up the phone, whenever it is. If I email her, she’ll respond a minute later, even with four kids.” He then explained that it doesn’t stop with just Kim, saying, “Same with Kris [Jenner]. It’s very normal. Everyone is still there for each other.” Jonathan admitted he hasn’t been able to catch up with Kim as much as he wants to, but tries to visit her whenever he’s in Los Angeles.
As Jonathan reflected on the only time him and Kim have ever fought in the history of their 10-year-long friendship, it reveals just how much they appreciate each other. With their busy lives, it’s no wonder their schedules aren’t always matching up. Here’s to hoping fans will be able to see more of the food-loving BFF on the next season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
