Almost a year after shipping its iPhone app, Kickstarter has released version 2.0 which includes full iPad support for the crowdfunding service’s app as well as a new design using a card interface for projects. In addition to launching its first iPad app, the folks behind the crowdfunding service shared a detailed blog post in the style of an interview with Kickstarter for iPad’s iOS engineer and product designer to describe the process behind bringing Kickstarter to the tablet. The two walk through the process of beginning to create the iPad version and point out the iPad’s benefit of being a great video playing device as why the app needed to exist.
