Longer films (that is, over 140 minutes) are more likely to be rated Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes than other movies. The film and TV review aggregator came to this conclusion after analyzing the 1,431 movies that have received a wide theatrical release (read: played in more than 500 theaters) since 2010, and dividing them into four categories: under 100 minutes, 100-120 minutes, 120-140 minutes, and above 140 minutes. There’s been a fair amount of discussion about movie runtimes this year, with tentpoles like Avengers: Endgame and IT Chapter Two clocking in at well over two and a half hours long....

LaCie today announced that its upcoming Porsche Design Mobile Drive USB-C (USB 3.0) will be its first design with a “user-friendly USB-C connector,” compatible with Apple’s just-announced 12″ MacBook laptop. The USB-C connector will be built into the plastic edge of the distinctively boxy solid aluminum housing, with an included adapter cable for traditional USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 connector compatibility. After a few weeks of playing with this iOS device controlled (through an earphone dongle) helicopter, I can say it works as expected. My MacBook Pro problems had one more episode in store for me: after getting the repaired machine back from Apple, there was a glitch after restoring it from a clone. I cloned the original SSD to an external drive using Carbon Copy Cloner. When I got the repaired machine back, it was effectively a brand new one, as it had a new logic board with new SSD. I plugged in the clone drive and used a CMD-R startup to boot from the clone, which worked fine…...
